Lieutenant Governor Natalie Bennett Recovering Following Roxwood Attack

SAN ANDREAS — The Office of Lieutenant Governor Natalie Bennett has announced that she is recovering well following surgery for injuries sustained in the recent shooting at Roxwood Airport.

According to her medical team, Bennett’s recovery is progressing as expected, and she is scheduled to be released tomorrow to continue her rest and recovery at home. Out of caution, she will not be making public appearances in the near future, though her office remains fully operational.

In a statement, Bennett and her family extended their gratitude to medical professionals, law enforcement, and security personnel for their care and service during the incident, as well as to the public for the outpouring of support.

The attack, which left multiple officers injured and resulted in the arrest of suspected gunman Cody Landry, has sparked ongoing questions about security protocols at Roxwood Airport. While officials have praised the swift actions of the counter-assault team, investigators continue to examine how Landry was able to get close enough to open fire on the Lt. Governor’s convoy.

For now, the focus remains on Bennett’s recovery. Her office has stated that further updates will be provided as appropriate.
